What is a Showcase?
Showcase is a one semester productive process in which students are encouraged to produce and present various types of academic work in creative ways as part of their efforts to integrate what they have learnt during their study in the English literature study program. The learning outcomes will be in the form of an academic exhibition, the so-called Showcase, which is held as an annual event. The goal of the event is to celebrate scholarly and creative work of students through which students can share their original research, scholarship, and/or creative work with the university academic community through talks, posters, exhibition, and competitions. The event highlights inter-concentration collaboration.
Our Projects
Audiovisual Projects
Students are given the opportunity to research and explore current issues including entertainment, economic, social, tech, and etc. Furthermore, the students need to complete the research with three minutes presentation to enhance their critical thinking and public speaking skills.
Written Projects
Let's dive into the world of creativity and imagination with our short story project! Here are some Short Stories made by groups of creative English Literature students. Our groups have brought together diverse voices, unique perspectives, and a shared passion for storytelling to make this project possible.
"You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it."
-Maya Angelou
